Elevating youth leadership on climate justice and how we can achieve it In celebration of International Youth Day, and in partnership with the United Nations Envoy on Youth, we are thrilled to be hosting a Spotlight Event on climate justice as part of the #YouthLead Innovation Festival at the United Nations. The Spotlight Event will highlight inspiring young innovators and activists from around the world and aim to answer the following questions:
  • How are young people advancing climate justice around the world?
  • What is the impact of climate change on young people?
  • Why is climate justice a systemic issue?
  • What policies would young people like to see in the context of climate justice?
  • What role does intersectionality play in climate justice?
  • What actions can young people make to create meaningful change?
  • What projects are young people leading on climate justice?
  • How can technology be leveraged to imagine a new future?
  • And more!
The Zoom link for the event will be emailed out and posted here 24 hours before the event. Speakers: 1. Yomna Ibrahim: youth activist—climate justice as a systemic issue, consultant, equity advocate.
