Join us to celebrate the journey and impact of the virtual exhibit, Through Positive Eyes: My Photo, My HIV Story, as its presentation at the Gates Foundation Discovery Center comes to a close. Featuring the Seattle-based cohort of the Through Positive Eyes artivists (artists + activists) who will reflect on their storytelling journey in the midst of a pandemic, discuss what inspires and sustains them as storytellers, and share insights about the power of stories to banish stigma.
“What we’re doing is storytelling (as) a living history,” artivist Julene says. “This is sharing life stories about surviving and what it takes to survive.”
Along with Julene, participating artivists include Bill, CL, and Kelly. The conversation will be moderated by Luis Ortega from Storytellers for Change.
