What

This multi-partnered summit comes as a response to the need for change as the world works through and emerges out of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is a critical space to advance ideas; a platform for engagement across different cultures, lived experiences, professional groups and perspectives. It will act as a catalyst to develop new local and global values, policies and practices for our joint futures.

Who

The People’s Global Summit is for everyone. It brings together community representatives, global organizations, government leaders, health and social work professions, environmental campaigners, people of lived experience, trade unions, civil rights champions, individuals and members of communities, in partnership, to contribute to co-building a new eco-social world.

When

The summit is timed to take place immediately before the United Nations High-Level Political Forum in July 2022. The conclusions from our summit will be delivered to the United Nations and all the world´s leaders.

Take part

The “Co-building a New Eco-Social World: Leaving No One Behind” Summit was initiated by UNRISD and the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW). One organization is part of the United Nations and the other an association of social professions with links to every community globally. Many partners are rapidly joining the initiative, contributing skills in campaigning, policy outcomes, practice development, expertise in lived experience and political activities that will take the ideas generated in this summit forward.

Deadline for contributions: 31 March 2022
