Read-Us Africa and partners are organizing the ARC, slated to happen on 8th September 2021 - World Literacy Day. The conference shall unite all minds in the great lakes region in government, civil society, academia, and private sector that have a vision of promoting a strong reading culture for young citizens of the region as a springboard for the renaissance of the consciousness that they have a contribution to make; if Africa is to see her glory days in this century.
The event shall include several activities like Authors Roundtable, Reading Innovations Roundtable, Keynote addresses, poetry performances among others with a grand aim of forming stable synergies that can see to it that this dream of establishing a social system within the great lakes region where every young African can enjoy reading as a matter of interest rather than coercion is achieved.
This can act as a precursor to achieving the first strategic milestone of promoting a future of a peaceful and democratic Africa; a drum that should be led by enlightened minds in a good relationship with interactive literature.
