Various economies across the globe are moving towards inclusion and for an economic development to be truly inclusive, it is critical that all sections of the society become a part of the overall growth trajectory and feel empowered- both economically and socially. FICCI has a Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion that steers its agenda towards ensuring that India Inc embraces D&I with inclusive work practices and organizational policies that support gender diversity, inclusion of people with disabilities as well as representation from the LGBTQI+ community. Under the aegis of this taskforce, FICCI will organize the 1st D&I Conclave on July 6-7, 2022 at Hotel, The Lalit, New Delhi. The event will facilitate deliberations on D&I pertinent areas such as building diverse and inclusive workplaces, addressing biases, ensuring accessibility, legal rights and safety at work, role of India Inc., best practices, allyship, mental health and many interesting fireside chats as well as inspirational chats. Senior government officials, Industry leaders, policy influencers, professionals, CHROs, CSOs, D&I experts etc from India and abroad are being invited to participate at this important forum.
The theme of the D&I Conclave is ‘India@75- Being Diverse, Inclusive and Better for all’. With 75 years of India’s independence, we cannot afford to exclude vulnerable sections of the society from the mainstream economy. We want to make every effort possible to ensure that the diverse sections of the society are empowered and included in all aspects- be it education, digital, financial, employment, culture or society; leaving no one behind.
