Africa Oil & Power (AOP) is returning to Cape Town for its fifth edition, uniting Africa’s investors and leaders in the oil and gas, power, and downstream industries. For the first time, AOP 2021 will invite global attendees to participate via a new virtual format, alongside the in-person conference and host the Africa Renewables Forum, the Africa LNG Forum, and the Energy Finance Forum. Join us for three days of deal-making and discussions focused on Africa’s energy transition, industrialization, regional business, and economic transformation, under the theme #InvestWithoutBoundaries. The conference enjoys the partnership and endorsement of the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy of South Africa, the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the South African Oil & Gas Alliance and the South Africa-China Economic and Trade Association. Africa Oil & Power 2021 includes three co-hosted events: AFRICA LNG FORUM The Africa LNG Forum, an integrated part of AOP 2021, is Africa’s dedicated gas and LNG event. With Africa’s LNG scene evolving at a rapid pace, the forum will explore the intra-African trade of LNG, new entrants into the LNG market including Mozambique and Senegal, as well as the investment fundamentals of floating LNG and mega projects. AFRICA RENEWABLES FORUM The Africa Renewables Forum will explore the synergies between traditional energy and renewable energy, highlighting different technologies, projects and African markets. It will also focus on what Africa’s energy transition looks like in South Africa and other markets, the interface between energy, employment and the economy, and how oil and gas companies are getting involved in the renewable energy industry. ENERGY FINANCE FORUM The Energy Finance Forum gives us a close-up on the continental investment environment in 2021, Africa’s competitiveness, new projects and the investors making them happen, and what the investment climate looks like in 2021 and beyond.
